Abstract
The chapter will critically consider the ‘inclusion agenda’ in England and its current use in practice. Internationally, inclusive practice in England is held in high regard. However, this chapter will detail the practical implementation of inclusion alongside the dominance of the standards agenda in schools. In considering inclusion in this manner, we will question the original intentions of its agenda against the practical implementation of inclusive education in current practice.
