Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare sector by enhancing diagnostics, treatment, and patient care. However, successful AI integration requires strong leadership to navigate complex decision-making, foster innovation, and address ethical, regulatory, and workforce challenges. This paper explores the role of leadership in AI adoption, highlighting both opportunities and obstacles. While AI improves accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility, challenges such as data security risks, algorithmic bias, and regulatory gaps must be addressed. Effective leadership strategies, decision-making frameworks, and cross-sector collaboration are key to sustainable AI deployment. The future of AI in healthcare depends on advancements in precision medicine, real-time health monitoring, and robotic-assisted procedures. Policymakers and healthcare providers must ensure ethical AI deployment, mitigate biases, and enhance workforce readiness. For AI to reach its full potential, ongoing research, governance, and strategic leadership are essential. With a balanced approach, AI can revolutionise healthcare while maintaining ethical standards and equitable access to care.
