Abstract
There are a number of government reviews and white papers, which discuss how universities have a major role in providing students with employability and graduate attributes. By embarking on a literature review to assess these requirements and an examination of the research undertaken with employers, students and universities, this review was able to identify that universities must continually monitor their programmes and assessment methods to ensure they are delivering the employability skills and graduate attributes required by local employers. This suggests that universities should consider undertaking research in their region to identify the specific needs within their local business communities.Publisher
