| Abstract: | Developments in the creation of 3D virtual environments
have made this a popular approach in a variety of
applications. However, creating 3D scenes still requires
professionals to spend an enormous amount of effort and
time on it. In this paper, we present a fully implemented
prototype system called 3DSV (3D Story Visualiser) that
generates a virtual scene by using simplified story-based
descriptions. This prototype system is based on the
integration of advances in computer graphics and text-tovisualization
technology to generate 3D virtual
environment. This makes it easier and faster for nonprofessionals
to create 3D environments compared to
using traditional 3D design packages. |
